Romeo and Juliet: What are some symbols that represent the balcony scene of the characters of Romeo and Juliet?
Q. I am working on the project for my English Class and I need some 3D Objects that represent the scene where Romeo is talking to juliet and she is on the balcony. The symbols have to represent the character. Ex: A faker heart would represent their love they have. A fake moon would represent the part when romeo is swearing to the moon on how he loves her. Please help!

A. Hmmm I haven't read Romeo and Juliet in a while, but here's my idea: Romeo and Juliet are from two different, powerful families of Verona. And through the families hatred for each other, there is murder, corruption, lies, etc. What's that saying ... "It takes a village to raise a child." Here are two children (teenagers technically) who kill themselves because they live in a world, a city, where they are not meant to be together; that the reputation of their families (which represents Verona) has driven them to suicide in the end. The tragedy of the city of Verona is that two young people cannot find happiness in life with each other there because of all of the horrible things taking place. Honestly, that's a lot of rambling and may not… [cont.]

A. "The fearful passage of their death marked love" in the prologue. This shows that they were fated to die, and that their deaths would bring the families back together.

What are some songs that relate to the plot of Romeo and Juliet?
Q. It's for an English assignment. It needs to relate to the plot of Romeo and Juliet, either the basic plot or something from a single side(ie: Juliet's parent's planning for her to marry Paris and she loves her enemy or something like that) or something else. It can even relate to their tragic death. Please no Taylor Swift, The Killers, or anything like that.

A. "She's So Cold" (Rolling Stones) "She Don't Love Nobody" (Nick Lowe) Either of these songs would work for Romeo in Act 1, suffering in unrequited love for Rosaline. There are lines in both songs that parallel some of Romeo's descriptions of Rosaline (but in modern language, of course). "Today I Met the Boy I'm Gonna Marry" (Darlene Love) For Juliet, after the party. As sappy love songs songs go, Darlene Love is 100x superior to Taylor Swift. "I Feel Free" (Cream) A love song, the last line of which is "You're the sun, and as you shine on me...", which is very similar to Romeo's "What light from yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun." in Act 2 Scene 2. "I Want You Around" (Ramones) Another love song, appropriate… [cont.]

How have Romeo and Juliet changed from the beginning of the play? What is the tragic truth Marsh is asserting?

What is the best possible casting for Romeo and Juliet?
Q. If you could choose any actors and actresses to make the perfect production of Romeo and Juliet, who would you choose? Disregard the time/space continuum or anything else that would hinder the process; this is purely for idealism. Remember to cast Romeo, Juliet, Mercutio, Benvolio, Tybalt, Lord Montague, Lady Montague, Lord Capulet, Lady Capulet, Nurse, Friar Lawrence, Paris and any other characters I can't think of right now.
Asked by ILIKEBIGDICKand i hatejesus - Sun Aug 2 11:28:32 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Romeo Montague: Leonardo DiCaprio (as he is now, not his teen idol years) Juliet Capulet: Liv Tyler or Natalie Portman Mercutio: James Dean Benvolio: Viggo Mortensen Tybalt: Brendan Fraser Lord and Lady Montague: John Waters and Geraldine Page Lord and Lady Capulet: Herbert Lom and Helen Hayes Nurse: Patricia Neal Friar Lawrence: Daniel Day-Lewis Paris: Elijah Wood Prince Escalus: Nicholas Cage The Apothecary: James Gandolfini The few other characters are very minor and could be played by anyone with acting talent.
